Development of Projects

Together with our local partners, we develop small-, medium and large scale composting projects in developing countries. Our compost is produced using locally available agricultural “waste” such as crop residues and manures, most of which currently present a threat to the environment.

Through our controlled microbiological composting technology, this material is transformed into high quality compost. Our composting procedures require a continuous monitoring of temperature, CO2 and humidity throughout the entire composting process. 

Our compost improves the soils’ water holding capacity, increases the fertility of soils and helps to replace synthetic fertilizer. 
Our composting technology was validated and verified by TÜV-Nord as a Greenhouse Gas Emission reduction method according to the guidelines of the UNFCCC. However, applicability to different projects depends on various regional and environmental circumstances. If a project qualifies, we can generate tradable Carbon Credits (VERs).

Subsidized through the revenues of the carbon credit sales, the compost can then be offered to the local agricultural producers at competitive prices, stimulating sustainable agricultural development.

The production facilities of Soil & More compost are set up according to two formulas: Joint Ventures and License Agreements. In both cases, we aim to involve local partners in the production process, either by investing in a Joint Venture, or by offering a franchise formula to give other entrepreneurs the opportunity to set up their own site. A license holder is allowed to use our Company’s brand name, whilst being guided through the production process and benefiting from our expertise and experience.
